So I was working as a parking attendant at the NJ State Fair the other day, and I hear macaw screams from across the Fairgrounds (they have a scarlet and a blue and gold that travel with the petting zoo), but damn were they loud! Trying to make conversation with some of the other workers (parking on a slow day can be painfully boring), I say “Oh, wow! Do you hear those macaws?” The two girls just looked at me kind of funny and said “How’d you know that was a macaw?”

And I’m just like

But seriously. They proceeded to judge me as I explained how much I love seeing the chickens at the livestock section of the fair.

So it turned out they both had some kind of fear/hatred of birds.

Welp.
