Just a small update on my life as a birder

I still have some photos from my last adventure left to get off of my camera, but I’ll be heading to the same place tomorrow to finish identifying some of my biology terms for my summer assignment. It’s quickly become one of my favorite trails to visit, since it was the first place I’ve seen a number of birds: tree swallows, green herons, cedar waxwings, and on my last trip I even saw a bald eagle! There’s a bunch of other shorebirds passing through that I can’t identify by ear, but it really is an area rich in wildlife.

So within the next few days I’ll get around to sharing some of my photos, and possibly asking for some help with identification.

Can someone explain to me why I’m finding so many pictures of hawks perched on tortoises?
