I don’t know whether I’m over-reacting or not, but I think Fester (my budgie) might be sick. She had a pretty unusual day yesterday: I didn’t see her at her food bowl until the end of the day, and she was pretty sleepy looking the rest of the time. Her tail bobs a bit, but only when she’s pretty much asleep. That alone is enough to make me worry, so I’m calling the vet tomorrow, just to be safe. She’s still playing with her toys, chirping, and has normal droppings, but everything else makes me worry. I don’t want to have something happen to her, and then say “I thought I saw her getting sick, but decided just to leave it.” I can’t deal with guilt like that.
She seemed better today, playing with toys more and everything, but her tail is still bobbing, so I’m still concerned. Plus I haven’t been home much today, so I haven’t been able to monitor her every move like I can on the weekends. The vet is getting a call tomorrow, and I’m making an appointment ASAP.
